Batu Cerita
Kota Kuala Muda - Tarikh pembinaannya dianggarkan sebelum kurun ke 18 masihi. Kota ini pernah menjadi pusat pemerintahan dan perdagangan yang penting di rantau ini. Barang2 yang diperdagangkan seperti bijih timah dan rempah ratus menarik minat pedagang2 dari negeri China, India, Portugal, Belanda dan Inggeris. Dalam tahun 1821, Tunku Yaakob1 (adinda Sultan Ahmad). dengan bantuan Siam2 telah menawan Kota Kuala Muda. Beberapa percubaan untuk menawan semula telah gagal dan akhirnya Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin3 memindahkan pusat pemerintahannya ke Alor Setar (salinan dari batu yang ada di situ)

Sedih tengok... tinggal yang itu sahaja dari kegemilangan Kedah silam.

Sementara berada di sana sempat juga ambil foto dihadapan gerbang. Insha Allah beberapa maklumat baru akan di up kan untuk rekod Kembara Bersama Cikgu Bob ini

Dari pekan Tikam Batu anda akan melintasi sebatang anak sungai apabila menghampiri pekan Kota Kuala Muda. Selepas menyeberangi sungai, ada simpang empat. Ambil simpang kiri. Dari situ anda akan jumpa simpang tiga, ambil kiri juga. Dari situ, sebelah kiri anda akan ada deretan kedai lama. Ikut sahaja jalan itu hingga ke hujung jalan. Anda akan jumpa tinggalan sejarah ini

Lepas baca inskripsi di batu tersebut.... tertanya2 siapakah Sultan Kedah pada waktu itu? Menurut sejarah Kesultanan Kedah di wikipedia, waktu itu Kedah belum mempunyai Sultan sebaliknya diperintah oleh Khalifah Syarif Abu Bakar Shah dari tahun 1767 hingga tahun 1821 kemudian diganti oleh Sultan Mudzaffar Shah III dari tahun 1821 hingga 1825. Jika Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin memindahkan pusat pemerintahan ke Alor Star, dimana pusat pemerintahan Sultan Mudzaffar Shah? Kena selidik lagi ni


1  Tunku Yaakob (juga dikenali sebagai Tunku Embon) merupakan adik kepada Sultan Ahmad menjadi Raja Muda Kedah. Walaupun begitu menurut amanat nenda baginda Almarhum Sultan Mohamad Jiwa Zainol Azilin Syah wilayah Kayang dan Sentol diperintah oleh Tunku Yusof. Tunku Yaakob telah dibunuh oleh Orang Besar ketua askar Siam-Ligor yang memerintah Kedah. Setelah kembali ke Kota Setar, Sultan Ahmad mengarahkan kubur beliau telah dibongkar dan dikuburkan semula di luar Makan Langgar akibat penderhakaan.

Bajaj and the art of storytelling with ‘V’

Apa yang ingin saya ceritakan disini ialah tentang cerita disebaliknya... Mudah2an anda2 yang berkenaan baca dan faham maksud tersirat didalam artikel ini... saya sudahpun bercerita tentang ini pada tahun 2000 tapi tak ada yang faham. Mungkin sebab siapa saya.... sekarang biarlah En Rajiv Bajaj yang cerita pula. Siapa En Rajiv dan siapa kamu

How INS Vikrant became a perfect fit for this solid commuter bike Rajiv Bajaj looks relaxed in his room at the company’s Akurdi headquarters near Pune. The Managing Director of Bajaj Auto has reasons to be pleased with his motorcycle business staging a dramatic turnaround especially in the entry and premium segments. Yet, it is the recently launched V15 that has been in the news thanks to the INS Vikrant association and Bajaj Auto’s coup in getting the metal from this iconic warship for use in the motorcycle. Launched in end-March, the V15 has been doing good business and plans are underway to launch a blitzkrieg of ‘V’ siblings.

Creating a brand


While Bajaj acknowledges the importance of the Vikrant in the V15 journey thus far, he reiterates that there is more to the narrative. The ‘V’ was created on the attribute of solidity. “In the commuter segment, mileage is doubtless important but people still like something solid. Nobody has done a 150cc commuter and we created a category of an invincible, solid, robust commuter,” he explains. As Bajaj says, it is important to be very clear in creating a brand. “Six months back, if I had said ‘V’ you may have figured out the brand but not the product. Now you have experienced the product and this leads us to the story and packaging,” he adds.

People come and people go but stories are immortal as in the case of icons like Muhammad Ali and Mahatma Gandhi as also controversial figures like Adolf Hitler.

This is the reason why marketing guru, Jack Trout has always maintained that good marketing is good storytelling. “It means that if you can’t tell a good story, you don’t have a good brand. If a brand is so well thought out that it has differentiation, has attributes and creates its own category, it is part of storytelling,” says Bajaj.

Likewise, Rolex is a story and if 100 people buy the watch, does it mean that all know the story of Rolex, he asks. At least 97 would not be aware but the three or five who know the story are charmed by it and they buy it. These are the early adopters. “Later, people like you and me follow suit because they bought it first,” he says.

A total package


Packaging is the other critical ingredient which explains why Apple invests so much in its stores. A company can have a great product and great story but if this is sold in a shabby fashion, it will not perform to its potential.

That the ‘V’ looks like a solid commuter which is 150cc and priced at ₹62,000 defines the product. The product with its story and packaging defines the brand. And the brand along with a clear attribute and the category it creates is the strategy.

“With the ‘V’, we had a great product and knew we could manage packaging. But could we get a story? It is not a heritage brand and had it not created a new category or differentiated attribute, just putting Vikrant on something would not work,” explains Bajaj. At one level, even without the Vikrant story, the company would have still had a differentiated product with super looks, quality and price. However, the minute the story came into the picture, the bike became larger than life. As Bajaj says, this is proved by the fact hardly anyone talks about its sales but there is a ‘wow’ about the V notion.

“The fact we incorporated Vikrant material in the bike makes it credible. When you get everything right and it has the story, the magic comes in,” he says. The best comment Bajaj received about the ‘V’ was from his dealer in Punjab whose customer said he would have identified the bike blindfolded.

“Today I am sure the ‘V’ concept has clicked and it is on such a strong wicket that nothing can go wrong,” he says. All the critical parameters like design, performance, price and product are in place along with the story and packaging.

“If I had put the Vikrant on Pulsar, it would not have made an impact and this would have been the same for CT100. It was important to have the right fit,” says Bajaj. Going forward, the company plans to launch more ‘Vs’ from the same platform through this fiscal and next which will hopefully improve its market share in the executive commuter space.

At present, its tally is barely 40,000 of the six lakh units sold each month which only reminds Bajaj why it makes sense to focus on motorcycles instead of turning his attention to scooters. By the end of the day, this space is still bigger than the scooter market which does 4.5 lakh units each month.

“This 40,000 per month should first become two lakh units after which I will perhaps begin thinking about scooters. If I cannot increase this quotient, why should anyone believe I will succeed in scooters?” asks Bajaj.

It was the Discover which was first positioned as the differentiator in the commuter space over a decade ago. Bajaj says the biggest problem here was the story which was originally the jadoo or magical ride.

The minute the narrative changed to Discover India with the power of one litre, the image created was fuel economy. In the process, it killed the brand, something which could, likewise, happen with a 100cc ‘V’ as its solidity image will take a beating.

Koh Samui - Halal food, accommodation and beaches

On 5-7 of May 2016... on a mission to meet friends in Samui Island who are returning from their trip from 1000 corners trip and in conjunction of Samui Bike Week 2016. The trip is a repeat from 2014 visit also on Samui BW 2014. I am not going to share my trip there in this write up, instead to share on accommodation and food specifically on halal food, and its beautiful beaches. For my trip... I will be writing a new post. Just for that.

Accommodation

There are plenty of guest house, hotels, villa, backpacking hostels available. The one I would like to share here is where I spent my night in Koh Samui. Located at 9.46901, 100.04514 the Sisophon Resort offers 4 types of rooms
  1. THB280 fan only
  2. THB600 acc room
  3. THB700 acc room with camping space on the roof
  4. THB800 acc room with kitchen

Halal food

For non-muslim.... you may skip this paragraph. No worry for you. Not just plenty but too many good food for you at a good price.
  1. Fareast Halal Restaurant
    Located at gps point 9.537379, 100.058441. You may also search in the google map and you will find it. I have not been there as the point given to me earlier is missed by few kilometers. Price is good there.

  2. Halal Food
    This one, I have been there. It is on the same road as (1). The gps point is 9.537379, 100.058441.
    I have proposed to google to add a missing place in google map with photos. Seems that google did not accept my recommendation. The shop is run by a Kelantanese-speaking man with his daughter for breakfast and lunch. At night his son manage the roti canai stall in from of the shop.

    A lunch for two person, nasi putih and ayam goreng for two, and a bowl of soup, cha yen and drinking water cost us THB70 each. Boleh la kan.

  3. Halal Food stall
    This one located at 9.482471, 99.954253. This is tapau type - take away - for breakfast. Go there early. We stopped there at 9.30am there is no more chicken rice. Food such as nasi briyani, nasi puteh and ayam goreng, pulut pelam is available for a very good price.

    While we were looking for nasi here, we were informed, on the way to Raja Ferry Terminal, there are two more shops selling halal food.

    As were informed on the two more shops selling halal food otw to the ferry pier.... we started to look around. We notices one shop here at gps point 9.48896, 99.9281 and later confirmed by photos and google map street view. Most probably this shop selling roti canai as we could not locate any food bins

  5. Halal Food near Raja Ferry terminal
    Just next to the front gate of Raja Ferry Terminal in Koh Samui, or known as Samui International Port there is another halal food shop. The gps point is 9.482122, 99.928794. There is nasi putih and nasi briyani there. I would like to advise you that lauk for nasi putih is so pedas. Just put a small portion of kuah is enough. However there is no hot water or cha-yen here. Only nasi.

  6. Melayu Samui Seafood - updated 15-May-2016
    Mir wanted to bring us here for a dinner on 6th-May BUT he could not locate the place. Upon returned we checked back and found it. However it is not recommended according to some of ATM member due to its price. Too high compare to old days. Perhaps it is famous now. Anyway no one stop you from having your food there. The gps point is 9.439046, 100.022323. Appreciate if you enjoy your food there now, please provide me your comments.
So who says it is difficult to eat halal food in Koh Samui. There are two more places but we could not locate accurately. The location will be updated later once confirmation is obtained.

I do remember in 2014... it is so difficult to get halal food as in 2016. Thank you Samuian.

Beaches

There are many beautiful beaches in Koh Samui. For me, I prefer Lamai Beach. A beautiful beach....
There are a lot of things you can find there. In the morning.... may farangs enjoy their jogging... in the afternoon shops started to open. In the evening until next dawn.... people are moving here and there

Apart from Lamai.... there are many other beaches such as Chaweng Beach, Bophut Beach, Maenam Beach, Lipa Noi Beach, Taling Ngam, Choeng Mon Beach, Hua Thanon and Bang Kao, Nathon Town Beach, Silver Beach, Thong Krut.... I named all beaches in Koh Samui. Hua Thanon and Bang Kao is the least develop beach. Be there and you know what I meant by that.

How to get there

I think everybody knows how to go to the Koh Samui.... so no need to explain in depth. Just get yourself to Donsak and go to ferry terminal. There are two - to go with your vehicle - ie. Raja Ferry Terminal
or Seatrans Ferry Terminal. Both are on the same route. You found one, means you found the other. Personally, I prefer Raja due to its ferry type. The ferry is not as new as Seatrans one but it is nicer. There are many ports in the ferry you can enjoy your time, either with friends or alone. Try one la and see for your self. BTW I have posted some photos to google map here. You can see the photos there. I am not sure on Raja ferry schedule but you can view the Seatrans ferry schedule here.

Ouch.... I nearly missed a vital information on the ticket price. For a small bike like mine it cost THB170 while those bigger one THB220. The ticket price is for you and your bike. Price still same as 2 years ago despite the oil price increase. Those with car... or lorry.... sorry... no idea. Perhaps information counter can help you.

Terowong Komunis Weng

Semuanya berpunca dari satu posting di FB... dari situ semangat berkobar2 nak pergi ke sana. Terowong komunis Piyamit dan Khao Nam Khang sudah dilawati jadi tak patut sangat di negeri sendiri tak pergikan.

Berdasarkan petua yang diberi, saya dan tiga orang kawan bergerak ke lokasi.

Bagaimana nak ke sana?

Cara nak kesana.... dari pekan Baling ambik jalan K157, nampak saja Sekolah Kebangsaan Seri Bayu, ambik jalan nak pi Tanjung Pari. Ikut jalan lama. Hampa tanya la orang kampung depa tunjuk nanti. Ikut saja jalan tu sampailah jumpa simpang tiga T dan kona kiri ke Tanjung Pari. Lebih kurang 1km ada titi. Lepas titi mesti nampak signboard ini.

Dah nampak signboard tu, ada simpang kecil di sebelah kanan. Jalan berbatu sahaja. Ikut jalan tu masuk ke dalam. Kira2 dalam 4km akan ada simpang Y. Ambil sebelah kanan.

Dari situ terus sahaja. Akan jumpa kem askar. Kat situ ada orang kata kena daftar tapi waktu saya ke sana tak perlu pun. Dari situ terus sahaja ikut jalan.

Untuk sampai ke terowong dari simpang Y kira2 15km

Apa yang best sangat di situ? Ntah la saya pun tak tahu sebab belum sampai lagi. Hampir2 sampai actually. Ada lagi 1km tapi kami dah kena balik sebab semakin gelap dan juga hujan.

Dari foto kawan2 dan juga video yang di ambil, laluan masuk ada 2. Di dalam tu macam di Piyamit atau pun Khao Nam Kang. Cuma pihak askar tak bagi usik harta2 di dalamnya.

Ada 6 anak sungai seperti gambar yang anda perlu tempuhi. Anda perlu berdoa agar tidak hujan. Jika hujan anda pasti menyesal masuk sana melainkan dengan kelengkapan yang cukup.

Ghout - nanas, lobak putih dan buah keras

Jangan bergantung dgn ubat kimia. Jika Anda ada Gout Cukup Minum Ramuan Ini Sekali Saja!

Untuk yang ada masalah gout, saya berpengalaman 20 tahun. Sy tk mampu sholat kerana lutut bengkak tak boleh dibengkokkan. saudara sy beri kapsul Gout dari Amerika, saya minum 2 hari, sakitnya cuma berkurang sedikit saja.

Dengan izin Allah SWT sy ditemukan dgn orang Lamongan, umurnya 110 tahun, masih gagah, anaknya umur 90 tahun yang kelihatan lebih tua. Dia tanya sy sakit apa ya? Sy jawap Gout Pak. Cuba cari sebiji nanas yg masak & satu batang lobak putih kira-kira 250 gram. Dikisar tambah 3 biji buah keras, jadikan minuman Jus lalu diminum sekaligus.

Berapa kali minumnya?. Sekali saja cukup. Untuk penjagaan yg beterusan minum lah 3 bulan sekali . Saya buat sebagai mana yg diajarkan, gout sy dah hilang sama sekali, sembuh sepenuhnya Alhamdulillah! Saya teruskan tiap 3 bulan sekali hingga bertahun-tahun. Ternyata Gout sy dah ucapkan selamat tinggal.

Posting ni panjangggg.. aku tak tipu

Pertama sekali, sorry sebab senyap seribu bahasa lepas hari ketiga Tour Jawa Tengah aku tu.... ada sebabnya... Nanti aku bagitau apa jadik...

So... hari ke-4 tour ni plannye rut macam ni lah...

Dieng - Wonosobo - Banjarnegara - Klampok - Panican - Purbalingga - Purwokerto - Baturaden - Bobotsari - Pemalang - Pekalongan

Rencana asal nak panjat Bukit Sikunir, nak tengok sunrise tapi bila aku bangun 3 pagi tu, hujan renyai renyai so... aku batalkan niat tu dan just bersiap untuk terus ke Gardu Pandang Dieng untuk tengok sunrise kot2 matahari menjelma... Pemandangan pagi tu memang awesome..
Telaga Menjer
Kemudian aku terus ke Telaga Menjer melalui perkampungan orang Dieng ni... Leh le tengok aktiviti jual beli sayur diorang dan aktiviti harian mereka. Bawak slow2 jer motor tu sambil smell the roses...

Banjarnegara ni glamer dengan sukan white water rafting nye... Tak lah white sangat airnya tapi Arung Jeram Sg Serayu memang awesome pada yang meminati aktiviti lasak ni. Dah puas tengok arung jeram tu aku teruskan perjalanan ke Klampok. Tempat ni terkenal dengan pembuatan seramik, ala2 Ipoh la jugak. Next time kalau nak pegi Jawa Tengah, boleh shopping seramik product kat sini.
Masjid di Bobotsari
Dari Panican, aku pun masuk ke Purbalingga. Kalau nak tau, Purbalingga ni ialah kabupaten atau daerah kelahiran Jenderal Besar Raden Soedirman. Jenderal ni adalah public figure paling aku respek di Indonesia, lebih daripada Soekarno, Hatta atau Hamengkubuwono 9. Google lah pasal reluctant leader bernama Jenderal Soedirman ni yea.. Plannya nak ke kampung halaman Jenderal, tapi terlalu jauh menyimpang, jadinya... lain kalilah yea.

Aku teruskan jua perjalanan ku ke Baturaden di Kabupaten Purwokerto. Baturaden ni terletak di kaki Gunung Berapi Slamet yang masih aktif. Memang awesome taman tema keluarga Baturaden ni, especially untuk famili. Ada air terjun, pertunjukan angklungan (macam kat Jalan Malioboro, Yogyakarta) dan lain2 lagi. Leh tengok gambar for details.

Lepas pekena nasi goreng ayam tengahari tu
aku teruskan perjalanan menuju Goa Lawa, Karangrejo di Kabupaten Purworejo. Goa Lawa ni dulu penuh dengan kelawar size2 gergasi... Tapi la ni tinggal goa je lah.. Lawa nya takde dah... Masuk dalam.. menarik jugak la susun atur gua tu.

Dari Purworejo aku teruskan perjalanan ke Pemalang dan singgah sebentar melawat Makam Raden Mas Agung... ngeri jugak la nak masuk dalam ladang beratus meter ni... Sempat jugak ke kompleks makam pahlawan di Pemalang ni.
Baturaden ke Pemalang


Last part of riding today ialah daripada Pemalang ke Pekalongan.
Bandar Pekalongan ni adalah pusat batik yang paling terkenal di Indonesia. Sebenarnya ada tiga bandar yang terkenal dengan batik di Jawa, iaitu di Solo, Yogyakarta dan di Pekalongan. Tapi Pekalongan ni yang paling win...

Jalan utama Pemalang - Pekalongan ni adalah part of hiway yang menghubungkan Jakarta - Cirebon - Semarang - Surabaya... yakni lebuhraya yang paling sibuk di Indonesia. Hujan renyai2 dah mula turun dan orang pun dah balik dari kerja so, korang bayangkanlah jalan nya sibuk tahap apa? Yang teruk bukan sebab sibuk tu tapi sikap pemandu2 lori dan bas yang tak pikir pengguna motor macam aku ni...

Nak jadi cerita... Hari ke 4 ni adalah juga yang terakhir dalam siri pengembaraan Jawa Tengah yang sepatutnya berakhir selama 9 hari. Sebaik aje aku tiba di Pekalongan sebuah truk kecil memotong kiri kereta di hadapan dan masuk laluan motor... Actually bukan jalan moto tapi tepi jalan yang nak naik rumput tu... Aku pun brek ketat2 untuk mengelak dari melanggar belakang lori tu dan jawabnya... Tergolek dog tengah jalan... Nasib baik in coming bas sempat brek.. Ye lah jalan slow.. Kereta banyak..
Lori tu belah bodoh jer... Orang2 Jawa ni lah yg tolong angkat... Bernafas dah bunyik kruk krak kat dalam... tapi luka satu pun takdak... Takut internal bleeding jer... Aku mintak bapak Innova tu hantar aku ke hospital atau panggil ambulance.. Diorang ni bagus... Hantar aku ke hospital atau Rumah Sakit Kraon Pekalongan. Check x-ray mlam tu jugak, confirm la patah clavicle bone (bahu) dan retak 5 tulang rusuk kiri aku... Nasib tak baik.. Backpack aku yg berat tu bagi impact besar kat bahu dan rusuk bila menghentam tar jalan... Namun syukur... Alhamdulliah... It can be worse... frown emoticon

So, 3 hari aku jadik zombi kat wad hospital tu sorang2 tapi tak bermakna tak berteman. Dekat sana aku dipertemukan dengan manusia hebat bernama Pak Jaler yang jenguk aku pagi dan malam selama 3 hari tu dan Pak Slamet yang kebetulan menunggu mak dia di wad yang berdekatan, Pak Didi, Mbah Sophie, Mbah Okta dan lain2 lagi...

Ada jer yg masuk bilik aku tanya
“dari Malaysia ya? Sorang aja pak?”
“Ya” jawab aku... Lepas tu semua muka pelik, sedih, kagum semua ada...
“Ngga takut pak?” Tanya nye lagi...
“Allah kan ada.. Dia antar bapak ke mari kan?.” sambil senyum tahan sakit... curi cliche orang... kikiki

Dipendekkan cerita, aku gagahkan diri balik Malaysia naik flight dari Semarang - KLIA2 - Penang. Jangan tanya macam mana, sakit ke apa yea...

Apa yg nak aku tekankan... Travel ni memang best especially kalau pegi yg ala2 adventure ni.. Tapi kalau something happen.. Memang x best... Hahaha... Tapi yg penting persediaan kita sebelum travel kena buat sebagai contoh, aku ambik traveler insurance advance package dengan AXA. Polisi insurance, passport copy, lesen copy dan emergency contact no. copy semua aku print siap2 dan letak dalam clear holder, mudah untuk urusan registration hospital... Banyak lagi tips travel ni tapi lain kali lah aku tulih yea...

Penutup cerita aku ni...

Adakah berbaloi trip ni? Yup... Sangat berbaloi

Sakit tak?... MashaAllah... Mintak simpang dari batuk.. Rasa nak pecah rusuk ni...

Adakah aku akan buat lagi trip macam ni? Yup... Next one East Cetral Java Trip bermula dari Semarang selama 15 hari.. Tarikh tak tau lagi.. Route dah confirm hehehe...

Lesson learnt? Banyak... Banyak sangat...

Sebagai penutup... Ada kawan aku sorang ni post benda alah ni kat fb... Hari aku accident... Of all day...

Perlukah travel insurans?

Dah lama saya mencari2 travel insurans hinggalah seorang rakan mengalami kemalangan. Dari dia dapat tahu lebih lanjut tentang travel insurans ini.
Berikut adalah salah satu pakej yang ditawarkan oleh Sime AXA. Nak habag na Sime AXA tak bayar lima det pun promote depa ni. Cuma nak bagi tau pada rakan2 traveller kita patut ambik bila nak travel.

Lata Celak - Kedah

Saturday morning... received WA message from Pak Eid... inviting me to his home town in Kampung Iboi, Kupang Kedah.

50-50 to go there or to go to Sadao BW. Been to Sadao BW before but never been to Kampung Iboi. Opt for the latter.

Based on GPS poing given by Pak Eid, taking route 4, Sungai Petani - Grik road.

Take a right turn when you see Masjid Al Huda on your right and Klinik Desa on your left. Along the way, you'll pass two schools i.e. Sekolah Menengag Jerai and Sekolah Kebangsaan Iboi. Both on your left. Right before a bridge crossing a small stream take right. Just follow the 'mini-tar' and stop wherever you like. There are a number of nice spots to choose from.

Yamaha FZ 150 India

Yamaha FZ Black
Bosan lah asyik bercerita tentang pengembaran. Nak bercerita tentang cerita lain sikit. Tertarik dengan FZ di India sebabnya ramai kawan2 guna FZ.

Ada dua varian di India iaitu FZ dan Fazer

Yamaha FZ Red
FZ di India ada 2 warna, iaitu merah dan hitam. Ianya dijual pada harga 74,500 rupee atau pun MYR4500 sahaja. Murahkan berbanding harga di Malaysia.

Di India, ianya tidaklah begitu digemari. Pada bulan Feb-2016 FZ berada di tangga ke 16 berbanding lain2 model dalam kelasnya. Walaupun ianya kurang digemari tetapi sales per month untuk tahun 2016 ini berada di purata 18 ribu unit sebulan. Melebihi purata di Malaysiakan. Mungkin 2 bulan sales di India setahun sales di Malaysia

Apa ada di Betong

Betong landmark
Cerita je pasal Betong tak dak benda lain dah dalam fikiran sesetengah masyarakat. Hahaha padahal macam2 ada di Betong ni. Mai nak cerita one by one.
Mongkolit Tunnel
Terowong Mongkolit ni terletak ditengah2 Betong. Memang tak boleh miss punya lah. Kalau kita dari border,
Kawasan kompleks sukan Betong
Muzium Betong
jumpa je Jam Besar tu ambil pukul 3. Untuk ke kawasan kompleks sukan Betong yang ada stadium, kolam renang dan lain2, selepas keluar dari terowong, kona kiri naik bukit sikit tu. Pusing2 la di sana. Macam2 juga ada Selain tempat2 sukan dan riadah, di situ juga ada Muzium Betong tapi tak tahu bila time bukanya. Setiap kali pergi tak pernah pun buka. Atas lagi dari situ tak payah pi la. Sana tempat masat banyak la. Jangan terkejut kalau ramai yang menyapa anda di sana.

Keluar balik dari terowong hala ke Jam Besar Betong, ambil pukul 12, terus sampai trafik light. Tengok kiri sikit pasti nampak tong post tertinggi tu. Rasanya yang itu je kot kalau di dalam pekan Betong. Ada la taman2 / garden macam tu dan juga tokong2 pada yang berhajat.

Selain itu, kawasan sekitar Betong juga banyak seperti Piyamit Tunnel - tempat komunis dulu2, Kebun bunga 4 season, Ayag panaih Betong (Betong Hot Spring). Yang ni sapa saja pernah ke Betong mesti tau punya. Jalan lagi sikit ada tempat2 lain seperti Jeti Tapayao, Air terjun saja ada 3 atau 4, pekan koboi yang sekarang sudah ditinggalkan, Bang Lang dam dan juga jambatannya yang femes, Pokok besar "Back To Nature"

Memang besar betul pokok tu. Mungkin mau 20 orang pegang tangan untuk keliling pokok tersebut. Ianya terletak di kampung yang disusun semula yang mana penghuni kampung merupakan anggota Parti Komunis Malaya yang telah meletakan senjata. Cerita lanjut berkenaan pokok itu boleh di baca di sini
